Marasanico

John White’s depiction of the Neuse River was not incredibly accurate, so it is hard to know where the possible location of Marasanico might have been. Additionally, in this published De Bry version of the map, there is no town listed as Marasanico, but there is a palisade symbol in the correct area that is not labeled, along with a nearby town named Cwareuuoc. The De Bry name suggests that Cwareuuoc was probably associated with the Coree, a tribe that lived in the area south of the lower Neuse River.
