Newasiwac

This is another town that is hard to locate as a result of White’s map depiction. Newasiwac would have been associated with the Neusiok tribe, which is why we have associated with it Neuusiooc here. According to Wingina, who was a weroance of the Secotan, there was a long history of violence between the Neusiok and Secotan tribes.
